Former MP Alfred Agoi To Chair Kengen Board


 

Former Sabatia MP Alfred Agoi has been appointed  Non-Executive Chairman of the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) board.

Agoi replaces Julius Migos Ogamba who was appointed Cabinet Secretary for education months ago.

In notice communicating the appointment, KenGen CEO Peter Njenga described Agoi as a distinguished leader with an illustrious career spanning years in business, strategic management, and leadership.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Government and a master’s in business administration (Strategic Management) from the University of Nairobi.

Agoi served as the Member of Parliament for Sabatia Constituency for two terms between 2013 and 2022.

While in parliament he played crucial roles in several Parliamentary Committees including the Budget Appropriations Committee, Health Committee and Special Funds Accounts Committee.
