Twenty three students have been involved in an accident when they were going to school along Bishop Gatimu Road in Nyeri County.
The school bus is said to be privately owned and usually transports students in Nyeri Town picking and dropping them to various schools either in the wee hours of the morning or after school.
The students were rushed to Nyeri Hospital where they eleven of them were treated with minor injuries and thereafter discharged as the rest six are still receiving treatment.
According to the police officer in Nyeri, he has said that the school bus will be investigated so as to know what the cause of the accident was and whether it is fit for road usage.
The school bus has been trolled to Nyeri Police station.
