Missing Embu retired Chief Inspector of Police Stanley Njiru Kabaci has been found dead at a lodging in Isiolo town three weeks after disapperaing mysteriously.
According to police the 60 year old left home at Majimbo in Embu West to buy some construction materials that were required in a house he was putting up. He never returned home.
He is said to have checked into the lodging in Isiolo town alone the same evening that he went missing.
A lodging attendant discovered his body lying in bed the next morning after she found the room’s door unlocked.
Detectives say Mr Njiru had left his phones, personal documents and a wallet loaded with Sh28,000 at home.
Family members visited the Isiolo Referral Hospital morgue on Wednesday and identified the body.
Investigations are underway to establish the circumstances that forced him to leave Embu and find himself in Isiolo.
