Kithure Kindiki, Ezekiel Machogu best CSs- Infotrak Poll

The Ministry National Treasury and Economic Planning and that of Energy has been scored at E in an Infotrak survey published today.

The cabinet secretary for National Treasury and Economic planning is Njuguna Ndun’gu and that of Energy is Andrew Kamau.

Infotrak’s Senior Field Operations Manager Johvine Wanyingo said that the two ministries had been singled out as worst performing by most respondents interviewed scoring a paltry 35 per cent.

Interior cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki, emerged among top performers in a list that included Ezekiel Machogu of Education, Ababu Namwamba, Sports and Youth, Susan Nakhumicha of Health, Mithika Linturi, Agriculture and Alfred Mutua, Foreign and Diaspora Affairs.

Wanyingo also said a total of 2,149 Kenyans gave their responses across the country, with most of the respondents being from the Rift Valley region.

He also pointed out that the ministry of ICT and Digital Economy stood out in the survey after being rated at 54 percent, an above average mark and Transport, Roads and Public Works rated at 50 percent.

Overall, the study indicated that all the other ministries performed below average after scoring 45 per cent, an equivalent of a D plain.

The survey’ findings on the individual performance by Cabinet Secretaries however differed from ministry rankings.

It also indicated that 62 percent of Kenyans believe the country is headed in wrong direction due to high cost of living.
