A first-year male student at KMTC-Kisii Campus died yesterday evening in what is believed to have been a result of a love affair turned sour.
The body of the deceased was found dangling inside his alleged lover’s rented house in the Bouti area, less than two kilometres away from the institution.
Sources indicate that the deceased had accosted his girlfriend in the house with another male student before a fight broke out.
Police are investigating a possible murder case. Both the said male and female students have recorded statements with detectives at Nyanchwa Police Station.
The deceased and the other two are both first-year students undertaking their diploma course in orthopaedics.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue.
