Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Tuesday paid a visit to Juja Police Commander John Misoi at the Avenue Hospital in Kiambu.
Misoi was hospitalized following an Easter Sunday raid during which brewers of Chang’aa shot him with an arrow.
During the visit, the deputy president cautioned drug and alcohol dealers that they have nowhere to run and reaffirmed that the war on illegal substances will not be abandoned.
Accompanied by Juja MP George Koimburi and Kiambu Senator Karungo wa Thang’wah, Gachagua spoke during the arraignment and 10-day remand of a single suspect in connection with the attack.
In the crackdown, he also gave security officers confidence that the government was behind them and would protect them in the fight against bad liquor and drugs.
DP Gachagua added that the Presidential Task Force on police reforms is in the process of working on the issue, and as of July of this year so that the officers will have improved terms of service.
