The immediate former MCA for Kiamwangi Ward in Kiambu county has been jailed for four years for faking his KCSE certificate.
Robert Kibe Githongo appeared before the Milimani Anti-corruption court on Monday where he was charged for presenting a false KCSE certificate and purporting it to be genuine certificate issued by the Kenya National Examination council.
Mr. Kibe was also charged with uttering the said certificate at the Jomo Kenyatta university of Agriculture and Technology on 2014 claiming it to be a genuine certificate.
Githongo was sentenced to four years in prison or pay a fine of ksh. 500,000.
