Oroo to be buried on Friday

Bonchari MP John Oroo will be buried on Friday.

His body will be flown to Suneka airstrip Friday morning and thereafter a funeral ceremony to be held at Itierio Boys High School playground.

His remains will later in the day be buried at his Bomorenda home near Suneka town.

North Mugirango MP Joash Nyamoko and his Bobasi counterpart Eng Innocent Obiri addressed the media Saturday afternoon at the deceased’s home and called for calm.

Obiri said Parliament through the clerk’s office had taken charge of the funeral arrangements. “We will work closely with the family, home Committee and the County Government to give our departed colleague a deceit send-off.”

Nyamoko said this will be a different burial from the recent high profile funeral ceremonies that have been held in the area.

“We respect all those who will join us to mourn with the family of the late MP. No sideshows will be entertained. He did his best in serving his people and we could wish to allow for a peaceful funeral.”

Oroo died on Monday evening after a two-week stay at the Aga Khan Hospital Kisumu.

His body is lying at the Lee Funeral home in Nairobi.
