Two people escorting UDA candidate in the Bonchari by-election perish in a road accident

Two people have perished in a road accident along the Kisii-Migori road.

The two were part of the supporters who had escorted UDA candidate; Teresa Bitutu for clearance at the Suneka IEBC offices.

The vehicle, which was part of Bitutu’s campaign convoy was involved in the accident less than two hours after the candidate had been cleared.

Kisii Teaching and Referal Hospital Head of Clinical Services Dr Verah Bina said five accident patients were taken in at the Hospital while two others arrived at the facility’s emergency and casualty centre while already dead.

Bitutu is the widow to the immediate former MP John Oroo. The late MP was buried on February 26.

Bitutu will be battling out for the seat alongside more than 12 Candidates. IEBC will conclude the clearance exercise tomorrow.
