Fifteen people were killed in a tragic road accident on Tuesday morning at the Twin Bridge area of Mau summit in Nakuru county.
Seven others were left with injuries after the bus they were travelling in collided with a matatu shuttle that was carrying passengers to Eldoret.
Kuresoi North Police Sub-County Commander Judah Gathenge confirmed the incident and said the dead included eight adults and seven children.
All the victims who perished were in the matatu. Mr. Gathenge said some of the victims died on the spot while others succumbed amid efforts to save their lives.
The bodies of the deceased were taken to Molo sub-County Hospital mortuary while the casualties are receiving treatment in the same facility.
The busy Nakuru-Eldoret highway has been a hotspot for accident for a couple of days now and a number have lost their live and scores injured.
