A fifteen year old boy has been arrested along the southern bypass in Nairobi for armed robbery.
The arrest on Wednesday night after DCI detectives on patrol noticed a confrontation between a group of people after which a teenage boy took flight upon seeing them.
The suspect then proceeded to engage detectives in a running battle along the Southern Bypass and inside the Nairobi National park while he was attempting to evade arrest.
As the police tried to move along the electric perimeter, rangers from the Kenya Wildlife Service saw this from their surveillance vehicles and came to their aid.
The suspect was arrested and a knife, which he allegedly used to stab victims was recovered.
After further interrogation the suspect took police to a hideout where he keeps the knife he uses to stab his victims before robbing them of their valuables.
The teenager is currently in custody being processed for arraignment.
