DP Ally wins Mswambweni by-election

Feisal Abdallah Bader has beat ODM candidate Boga Omari’s to win the Msambweni seat for Member of Parliament.

Feisal an ally of DP William Ruto who ran as an independent candidate got 15,251 against Boga Omari of ODM who got 10,444 votes.

MP-elect Feisal Abdallah Bader was given his election certificate early Wednesday morning by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) Returning Officer Yusuf Abubakar.

Tuesday’s by-election was done after the death of ODM lawmaker Suleiman Dori who passed away in March.

ODM leader Odinga had said the elections for the Mswambweni seat was a test for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) constitutional amendments acceptance around the country.
