Former Angolan president Jose Eduardo dos Santos’ daughter has demanded that the hospital keep his body for a postmortem after she claimed suspect of foul play.
The former president who was Angola’s longest ruling president died at the Tekno Clinic after a prolonged sickness. He had suffered a cardiac arrest two week prior and was put in the intensive care unit.
He was married four times and is survived by his current wife Ana Paula, six children and various grandchildren.
According to police, Welwischia chize dos Santos who is dos Santos daughter filed a legal case against her fathers’ fourth wife and his personal doctor accusing them of attempted murder.
Attempted murder, failure to exercise a duty of care and disclosure of secrets by people close to her father are some of the allegations in her complaint according to her lawyer.
She accuses Ana Paula and dos Santos’ doctor of causing his health to detoriate.
Police say they have opened an inquiry to investigate the allegations.
