Police are holding sixteen Ethiopian nationals found locked up in a house within Nairobi’s Kayole estate on Saturday.
The sixteen were held in the house without access to water or food.
They disclosed to police they had been in the country for close to two months and that they were beaten upon asking for food, this prompted neighbors to alert authorities.
Speaking to the media, area police boss Paul Wambugu said it was a suspected case of human trafficking.
He however did not disclose how they came into the country and where they were heading.
They are currently being held at the Kayole Police Station in Nairobi, for further investigations.
