Gesami calls for unity among leaders

Nyamira County Deputy Governor nominee Dr James Gesami has said the expectations of their
government with Governor Nyaribo is to have an all-inclusive Government.
On Monday, Dr Gesami said it is time to have everyone on board in taking Nyamira County to
the next level.
“As much as we have the new government in place, we shall try and ensure transparency,
accountability and high level of inclusivity for all so that we move this journey as one people,”
said Gesami.
Gesami urged the people to support the county government to ensure residents of Nyamira get
the required services.
“We will not leave anyone behind. This is a journey that requires all of us to be on board to
enable the residents of Nyamira to benefit from our leadership. That will only be achieved if we
remain united and focused to drive the agenda of our county,” he noted.
While addressing journalists in his office on Wednesday, Governor Nyaribo said he will closely
monitor the performance of his ministers to ensure service delivery in Nyamira County.
“The time we have is to work for our people and I am looking upon the foresaid individuals to
work hard and ensure the residents of our county benefit from the services offered by my
government,” Nyaribo said.
The names will be forwarded to the county assembly for approval alongside that of the Deputy
Governor nominee Dr James Gesami.
The appointments that have been done by the county will see vigorous activities in the county
government by the fact that the governor has less than two years in office to complete the project
that the county former boss’ John Nyagarama who died late last year.
