A form three student at Kisii High has been placed in custody after he stabbed two male teachers
in the school.
The 17-year-old was arrested by detectives from Kisii Central police station Tuesday morning.
Maurice Ogutu, the school principal reported the incident to the police at around 9 am.
The suspect is said to have stabbed the victims using a kitchen knife.
One of the teachers; Edwin Nyakundi sustained injuries on the left shoulder, left side of the
abdomen, head and left leg.
Elvis Maoto was injured on his chin. He was treated and discharged from RAM Hospital.
The student was asked why he was late to join other students for the assembly. He went back to
the dormitories armed himself with the kitchen knife and attacked the said teachers.
According to police, the suspect could face attempted murder charges.
