The department of Public Health has taken drastic measures and closed down all places of worship following a rise in Covid-19 related cases.
Several individuals in the area are said to have died due to COVID-19 related complications.
In a letter dated June 11, 2021, the sub-county Public Health Officer, Florence Tirimba said all worship places remain closed for 14 days.
Kisii has been recording increased cases of COVID-19 with a positivity of more than 24 per cent being recorded for the last two weeks.
Kisii County Head of Public services Patrick Lumumba on Wednesday also ordered for a skeleton of the staff to be reporting to work.
