As a way of reducing the burden of paying school fees for Orphans and students from poor families in Nyamira County, a good Samaritan through a foundation called The Marwanga Foundation has come in handy to relieve the parents.
Speaking to journalists after issuing cheques to the parents in Manga Ward, Kitutu Masaba Constituency, the organisations’ founder Reuben Marwanga said that his organisation targets to keep students from less fortunate families at school who are unable to pay fees at this though economic times brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He added that his organisation has paid school fees of between Shs 5,000 to 10,000 for over 200 students from Nyamira County and will target more.
Marwanga has declared his interest to vie for Nyamira gubernatorial seat asked other leaders to join hands in supporting education for the prosperity of the county.
