The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) is set to conduct its second test run at Green Park terminus.

According to a notice dated May 26th, the test run will take place on Friday, May 28 from 4 pm to 8 pm and it will involve dropping and picking passengers.

“Notice is hereby given to the General Public that all PSV vehicles operating from Nairobi Railway Station Frontage will do a test run of dropping and picking passengers at the Green Park Terminal (former Lunar Park). Thereafter, normal PSV pick-up and drop-off operations will continue from the Nairobi Railway Station frontage until further notice.”

Director-General Mohammed Badi added that NMS is executing various decongestion strategies such as the construction of matatu stages.

Badi stated that the process is entering the transition phase of commissioning the terminal, whereby all stakeholders will be evaluating their level of preparedness.

NMS conducted the same exercise last month between 6 am and 9 am causing a traffic jam in major roads to interconnect the Nairobi.

Green Park terminus, will act as the drop-off and pick-up point for PSVs working on Ngong and Lang’ata routes once the decongestion process starts.
