Nyamira County to drill 20 boreholes at a cost of 45M in three months

The County Government of Nyamira through the Ministry of Environment Water and Natural resources has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) with the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority (N.W.S.H.A) to Drill 20 boreholes that will be distributed across the 20 Wards.

Speaking during the launch in Magombo Ward, Kitutu Masaba Constituency, Nyamira Governor Amos Nyaribo asked the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority to expedite the process has it will help the residents receive water at their doorsteps as it is an essential commodity at this time when the country is facing a pandemic.

For their part, The National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority through their chairman Eric Okeyo assured the residents that they will do the within the stipulated time.

The county government of Nyamira has paid the Authority 45 Million to drill the boreholes within three months.
