The professor said that for people in emergency situations like those seeking medical and educational services should be considered and their applications processed within 24 hours. He explained that the current backlog has been caused by the breaking down of the printing machine.
He assured Kenyans that the faulty printing machine will be fixed within 7 days. The booklets have been delivered and will be used to deal with the delayed passport applications. He therefore asks people seeking services from the Immigration Department to be patient.
