A man is recuperating at the Kitale County Referal Hospital after armed robbers broke into a shop and shot him in the right-hand shoulder in the Kapretwa area of Saboti constituency in Trans Nzoia County.
Police received a distress call that robbers had broken into Elijah Okisai Oruto’s business premises. We they rushed to rescue the businessman, they realized that his shop attendant Musa Waswa Mukawale had been shot in the right-hand shoulder, so they rushed him to Kitale County Referral hospital where he is being attended to
In a statement Saboti location Chief Protus Wechuli said an unknown number of armed thugs robbed the shop and dashed into the darkness.
The local administrator said police have launched investigations and asked area residents to volunteer any information so that the suspects are nabbed and legal action taken against them.
