Former Juventus president, Giovanni Cobolli Gigli, has said the club made a mistake by signing Cristiano Ronaldo.
Giovanni claimed Ronaldo is hindering the club’s efforts to win back the Serie A title and wants to sell him before the summer transfer window closes.
Cristiano Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid for €100 million in July 2018.
He became a surprise omission from Juventus’ starting line-up in Serie A opener against Udinese on Sunday.
The 36-year-old is now into the final year of his contract.
Ronaldo wants to leave Juventus and join Manchester City.
