Nyamira North sub-county police commander Patrick Ngeiywa yesterday led an operation to destroy and arresting of Chang’aa brewers in the Gesura Village Nyamusi division.
Addressing journalist after destroying over 2000 litres of Kangara and impounding 80 litres of chang’aa and brewing operators to be used in court as an exhibit, Ngeiywa warned the brewers to desist from the activities adding that the government will not relent in the fight against illicit brew.
In the operation, three suspects were arrested and are set to be arraigned in Nyamira courts tomorrow.
