The Methodist Church in Kenya scandal hits up.

The former presiding bishop Joseph Ntombura issues a response to bishop Lawi Imathiu call to members of MSK for a meeting at the Methodist resort and conference Centre.

He stated in an official letter that the meeting scheduled on 29th march 2023 by bishop Lawi to be illegal. He also took the opportunity to correct the rumors that his term expired on 4th august 2023.

In an official letter directed to all members of the church, he stated that during the annual conference held on 3rd august 2o22 his term as the presiding bishop was extended by 2 years.

This comes after a group of MSK leaders ganged up to oppose Ntombura’s leadership and extension of his term from 3rd august 2022 to 2024.

Ntobura encouraged the members of the church to disobey Bishop Lawi’s call for he is misleading the church members.

The church has been having wrangles for years leading to a split with one group supporting Ntombura and the other against his leadership.
