A five-storey building which was under construction in Kinoo area Kiambu County has collapsed. The billboard on the site showed that Nairobi county government approved its building. According to neighbors thy heard a loud crushing sound at around midnight and rushed for safety.
It is barely six months a five-storey building had also collapsed that was under construction in the same neighborhood. According the residents the caretaker noticed cracks and alerted the owner.

o the owner of the five-storey building which caved in leaning on the six-storey flat occupied.
Preliminary investigations show that there was no ideological assessment that was conducted and that the contractor did not lay a proper foundation and no engineers were there to supervise the work.
Tenants living in the adjacent six-storey building have been asked to vacate their houses until the collapsed building is brought down.
