Doctors have joined the National health workers strike following failed negotiations between the
Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentist Union (KMPPDU) and the Government.
Union acting Secretary-General Dr Chibanzi Mwachonda says the Doctors strike began Sunday
midnight and will proceed until all the issues raised by the Union are resolved.
"No amount of intimidation will stop us from demanding for welfare matters."
Doctors had suspended their strike for 14 days to allow for more talks.
Nurses and Clinicians began their strike two weeks ago paralysing services in all Public
Hospitals.
