Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i and Kisii Governor James Ongwae will co-chair the
late Governor John Nyagarama's funeral Committee.
Several elected leaders met in Nairobi Friday afternoon and agreed to set burial date after
consulting the family.
In a meeting held at Dr Matiangi's Nairobi office, the leaders said they will hold meetings jointly
devoid of party affiliation.
A source who attended the meeting said, they agreed to have the burial held before the end of the
year.
Members of the family and the public will also be meeting at Nyagarama's homes; in Nyamira
town and at Borabu settlement scheme.
Nyagarama died Friday morning at Nairobi where he was admitted to two weeks ago. The body
has since been moved to Lee Funeral Home.
