Mathira Member of Parliament Rigathi Gachagua who has also been central in William Ruto’s behind the scenes of political negotiations with partners, has been picked as the running mate after long hours of anxiety and speculations.
Earlier, Gachagua had said being Ruto’s running mate is not a matter of life and death for him but his main agenda is to secure victory for the team.
DP Ruto has termed Gachagua as an astute debater, a principled, resilient and fearless fighter for the right cause as he has the Bottom-UP- Economic Model at heart and he understands peoples issues and is passionate about the ordinary people.
Signing of the executive order will be immediate after he assumes office that will outline the roles of the Deputy President.
