Students from Ekerubo Giatai Technical Training institute in North Mugirango Constituency, Nyamira County went on a go-slow today.
The students have cited poor attendance of lectures, lack of medical insurance for the students, failure by the institution to offer practicals among other reasons.
The students almost went on a rampage prompting the administration to call the police for fear that the students could damage property in the institution.
Speaking to the journalists the students’ leader Brian Omandi said that their grievances have not been heard by the administration thus forced them to boycott classes.
On his part the Institute’s Principal Geoffrey Andama said that the administration has heard the student’s grievances, adding that the matters raised will soon be addressed.
