Equity Bank through its CEO James Mwangi donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), sanitisers and face masks to the Nyamira County Referral Hospital.
This is the fourth time the hospital is receiving the donation through the Equity Fund to boost the fight against COVID-19.
Speaking during the event to launch the consignment of the PPEs at the Nyamira County Referral Hospital, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director commended the front lines workers and the County Government of Nyamira for utilising the donations from the bank.
Mwangi at the same time added that the Equity Fund has included Nyansiongo Mission Hospital in Nyamira County among the Faith-Based Organizations that will benefit from its donations.
On his part Nyamira County Governor Amos Nyaribo welcomed the donations and goodwill from the equity fund, adding that the bank through CEO James Mwangi have been key partners in the government’s fight against the pandemic and at the same time thanked the bank for being at the forefront in the fight against the Pandemic.
