Form one selection process to be delayed – Magoha

The Education ministry has adjourned the Form One selection process until a further date.

The selection was scheduled to take place between May 28 and June 15.

Speaking at Joseph Kangethe Primary School in Nairobi today, Education CS George Magoha did not provide a reason for the delay.

He, however, said there is no reason for panic as the process will be free and unbiased.

Meanwhile, the placement of 2020 KCSE candidates to technical colleges will begin on Monday.

Candidates who qualified for university placement under government sponsorship have also been asked to review their degree selections.

They will be placed in universities in July.

Magoha, last month, promised that every candidate will secure a place in secondary school.

“We are determined to work with the relevant agencies to ensure that no candidate misses a place in secondary school,” Magoha said.

The 2020 KCPE and KCPE candidates managed to post good grades despite the disruptions brought about by COVID-19.
