A form one student at Chebase Secondary school in Tinderet sub county, Nandi County is dead after two teachers beat him for cheating during the physics exams.
Kelvin Kiptanui died on Friday evening while undergoing treatment at Nandi Hills sub county hospital where he had been referred from Chepsese health center after he complained of chest pains.
They were doing midterm exams at around 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM where it is alleged that he was found cheating together with another student while doing a Physics examination between.
The school principal told police that the deceased was allegedly beaten in turns by two teachers at the institution on claims that he was caught cheating in the mid-term examinations.
A report from the police shows that the school management didn’t have any sickness report from the student only to learn later that he had developed complications.
The administrator has asked the family of the deceased and the members of the public to remain calm and allow the investigating agencies to complete its work and assured them that justice will be done to them.
The school has been closed indefinitely following the restlessness from students wanting to know from the administration the reason of death for their colleague.
Tinderet OCPD, Mohammed Jire has confirmed that his officers have already started probing the circumstances that led into the death of the student and has assured that if the post mortem report shows that he was beaten, the two teachers will be charged with murder.
