A Kwale Court has issued a warrant for the arrest of Nyali MP Mohamed Ali’s in connection with a surety he provided for a terror suspect

Mohamed Ali, the Nyali Member of Parliament, has been issued an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on October 4, 2021.

This was after Nordin Hassan Abdalla alias Kamanda, a terror suspect for whom he stood as a surety, jumped bail.

Abdalla was charged with having radicalization articles. He was released on bail after denying the charges in front of a Kwale Court, with MP Mohamed Ali volunteering to stand as a guarantee.

The defendant was arrested in Shimoni, Kwale, in 2019 while recruiting and radicalizing local youth for the Islamic State. He was later released on bond.

He is believed to be a close associate of Salim Rashid Mohamed alias Chotara.
