Kisii Governor James Ongwae has been vaccinated against COVID-19 as he promised to lead in the war against the spread of the global coronavirus.
Ongwae said he was vaccinated following the order of priority.
“I had earlier given up on ongoing for the vaccination against COVID-19 in Kisii County, I have taken my first jab today, after our frontline workers, in the health and security sectors being inoculated.”
Kisii has recorded 33 deaths since March last year.
In preparation to fight coronavirus, the county has established more than 315-bed isolation Ward with 15 ICU beds.
