Safina Party holds a NDC today to endorse Jimmy Wanjingi as the National flag bearer at the Bomas of Kenya. This comes barely three weeks after he exited ODM party.
The party is endorsing Jimmy to be the flag bearer and vie for presidency following the changes made in the party a week ago.
The party had invited various party leaders including Deputy President Dr. William Ruto (UDA), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Keny) and many others.
According to the National Coordinator of Safina Party Mr. Paul Muite, the party is open for negotiations from any party that is ready to work with them which raises eyebrows whether Safina Party will be joining the United Democratic Alliance.
He however hinted that they will not join Azimio La Umoja movement following the messy fall out with Raila Odinga.
After his endorsement by various counsels Jimmy accepted the endorsement with humility saying it’s a new day with a new chapter in the Country’s history with new leadership, new ambitions, no corruption, and jobs for the 5.4 million Kenyans who are unemployed.
Senior Counsel Paul Muite addressed the convention cited that there are various people suffering in the county including the middle-class and the poor.
Muite spoke of his fight to liberation alongside Kennedy Matiba but assured the delegates that the change is near with Jimmy wanjingi as the 5th president of Kenya.
