Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations have kicked off in different centres across the country were an expected 1.2 million candidates are to sit for the exams.
The examinations are set to run from today to March 24, 2021.
Education CS George Magoha was in Thika during the distribution of the examination stated he had confidence in the exercise.
“The students are very well prepared, the examination was also prepared to take into consideration, all government agencies are here and as you can see, it is all systems go, all the 479 examination containers were opened today at 6 am across the country,” said CS Magoha.
CS Magoha also sounded a warning to schools that had collected money from students but failed to register them for the examinations saying they would face the full wrath of the law.
Last year KCPE examinations were not done because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
