A 45-year-old pastor in Kisii, Joel Mogaka is being held in police custody on allegations of the
suspected murder of wife on Thursday night.
Mogaka is alleged strangled his wife Hilda Nyambusi, 31 to death at their home in Ogembo Sub
County.
It's believed that the suspect drove the body to Christmarine Hospital in Kisii using a motor
vehicle.
The relatives to the wife made a chase to the hospital and it was then that they established the
body was being handed over to the Mortuary by the husband with his accomplice.
According to police the relatives and the hospital management raised alarm and the guards
arrested the suspect and alerted Kisii Central Police station.
Kisii County Commander says the suspect has since been placed in custody as police carry out
further investigations.
It is believed that the deceased was probably strangled in the family's storeroom.
