A Murang’a court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment for defiling a nine year old boy.
John Chege had lured the boy to his house under pretenses of rewarding him with a biro pen for a “job” the boy had done for him. It is then he proceeded to do the unthinkable act on the boy.
Handing out the sentence, Hon. P. Maina, Chief Magistrate said that the accused took advantage of the boy’s trust and had not showed any remorse throughout the entire hearing.
The boy’s family are still angered by Chege’s actions and asked the court to impose a deterrence sentence.
