MP Gatundu South, Moses Kuria was arrested on Monday alongside 30 people for going contrary to the Ministry of Health’s COVID-19 protocols.
Kuria was arrested in Kiambaa and later taken to the Karuri police station.
The detainees were charged for failure to wear a mask, flouting curfew hours, and unlawful meeting.
Although the MP shared some photos of himself without a mask, he did not clearly state the cause for his arrest in a Facebook message.
“Arrested! Held at Karuri Police Station. Kiambu Court tomorrow. Still- #MeneMeneTekel #FinishAndGo,” Kuria described the pictures.
Meanwhile, as the COVID-19 infection cases continue to rise, Kenyans are encouraged to adhere to MoH’s coronavirus protocols.
