Kisii County Government has identified some staff who will be working from their offices following a surge in COVID-19 cases in the area.
The County Secretary, Patrick Lumumba has called on Chief Officers in the 10 departments to identify minimal staff who will be offering services at the county for one week.
“Some officers in the County including County Executive Committee Members have recently tested positive of COVID-19. At the treasury, we have over 10 positive cases that have been reported.”
Lumumba says the County received a letter from the Ministry of Health indicating a high positivity in the Lake Region Counties.
“It has also been confirmed that Kisii County’s rate of positivity is on an upward trend.”
