Police in Nairobi have arrested a man who is alleged to have slit and killed his son in Bomakombi Village Kisii mid last year.
Nehemiah Asiago, 41, was arrested Friday afternoon by detectives from the homicide police unit.
At the time of his arrest, Asiago was planning to flee the country on a Qatar bound plane.
Police have been trailing the suspect since June last year after he allegedly killed his son Byron Asiago after a domestic squabble.
He immediately went into hiding. Byron’s brother told detectives that a disagreement arose after their father who was intoxicated, demanded to know what he had brought home.
The victim is said to have posed a similar question to his father, asking him what he had to show for his day’s activities other than returning home drunk.
This prompted a scuffle, that led to his death. The suspect has since been placed in custody.
