A 30-year-old man is being held in custody at the Lamu police station in Lamu County, after he killed his friend after they differed on their political stands.
The said man is said to have killed his 21-year-old friend by stabbing him in the neck
The two were having a conversation which led to their disagreement that escalated to the two fighting that led to the death of one.
After the killing, the suspect tried to escape but later on was apprehended. The alleged killer in custody according to the Lamu police Sub County police station Mr. Geofreey Osani.
Warri Mohammed a family member of the slain kin is pleading with relevant authorities to investigate the matter and ensure justice is served as burial arrangements are being held according to the Muslim doctrines.
The Lamu Sub County police boss Osani, has urged the residents to live in peace and harmony despite one’s political stand during this campaign moments ahead of the August elections. Investigations are ongoing following the death and justice will be served.
