Former prime minister, ODM party leader Raila Odinga has promised to lower the cost of fertilizers if he is elected as the 5th president ahead of the august polls.
Speaking in Baraka, Molo, Nakuru County, Raila said he will implement a subsidy program for farmers which will foresee the prices of fertilizers reduction from Kshs. 6000 for a 50 KG to Kshs. 2000.
Raila told the Nakuru residents that his administration will boost the counties agriculture reviving the pyrethrum sector and timber business.
The ODM chief similarly renewed his call for harmony among Kenyans as country gears up for the August polls.
He slammed those profiling Kenyans according to tribes, stating that Kenyans have the freedom to choose where to live, asking Kenyans for the repeat of 2007/2008 postelections violence not to take place.
