A family in Nyamira was on Tuesday night attacked by robbers who cooked food in their house
before they robbed them off property of unknown value.
Stephen Gichana was ambushed as he got to his compound in township location Nyamira North
at around 8 pm.
Gichana had called on his son; Elias Gichana to open the gate when the robbers pounced on him
causing injuries.
They moved to the house, tied the two as well as Gichana's wife Damaris Kemunto.
They ransacked the house and managed to steal three mobile phones, a Laptop and other
property.
The robbers, for close to two hours; cooked meat and Ugali in the victim's house and thanked the
family for their cooperation before leaving.
Police have since visited the home and began investigations.
