Rashid Echesa, a former cabinet secretary for sports, has been nominated by President William Ruto to lead the Kenya Water Towers Agency Board.
Echesa will serve for a term of three (3) years beginning on May 19, 2023, according a gazette notice dated that day.
Echesa served as a Cabinet Minister throughout the second half of departed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tenure as head of state until his dismissal on March 1, 2019, when the Cabinet was reorganized.
Following a flurry of corruption allegations that followed the Sports docket, he was fired as a cabinet minister.
