President William Ruto on Sunday urged all leaders within Narok County to amicably solve their disputes as he promised to help wipe out the deeply-rooted insecurity in the region.
Speaking during a church service in Kilgoris, the president noted that the community will play a pivotal role in ending banditry as efforts from the Interior Ministry and the security forces are not sufficient to silence the guns.
The Head of State went on to assure that officers will be deployed to help maintain peace in the county while also noting that Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki will soon hold a meeting with the county leadership to forge a way forward.
This comes amid a surging insecurity in the county and its outskirts as many residents have lost their lives over the banditry attacks.
Earlier on, Ruto officially opened the Ildolisho Comprehensive School Konza Digital Skills, Kilgoris, Narok County, and also broke ground for the construction of the Kenya Utalii College’s Ildolisho Campus.
