Antoine Griezmann returns to Atletico Madrid

Antoine Griezmann has rejoined Atletico Madrid from Barcelona on a season-long loan.

The loan deal is worth €10 million with an option from Griezmann to stay permanently in Atletico Madrid.

Griezmann left Atletico in 2019 to join the Catalans in a €120 million deal but he struggled to live up to the expectations at Camp Nou.

Barcelona’s financial situation left them willing to let Griezmann go to manage to pay their player’s.

Griezmann earns around €20 million per year.

Barcelona have replaced Griezmann with Sevilla striker Luuk de Jong on loan.
