Barcelona has been in the market for a new striker after Sergio Aguero was ruled out of action for 10 weeks after a calf injury.
The Catalans have made a late move to sign Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani.
Cavani has already agreed to move to Barcelona but Manchester United is still reluctant to let him leave.
He did not get off the best start at United this season after facing a three-game ban for an offensive Instagram post shortly before Christmas.
However, by the end of last season, he was a crucial member of the starting XI.
The deal is far from easy to complete, however, and all parties will have to move very quickly to get the transfer done before tonight’s deadline.
