Class seven pupil bruised over an extra portion of chapati

A 13-year-old pupil of Gremon Education Centre in Mombasa County is nursing serious injuries after he was allegedly beaten by a school administration for eating an extra chapati.

The pupil is attending treatment at coast General Hospital in Bamburi Mombasa County

Doctors say he came in with acute kidney injury and his genitals damaged which they are managing and monitoring his urine output with multiple wounds in his back and body which they are using anti biotics.

According to parents, the class seven pupil was beaten with water horse pipes and later on scarred with hot water and after he was beaten by the school administrator, he was later on released to other pupils to beat him too.

The parents were not informed about the incident for a week only to go and find for the child was in pain and unable to walk asking the school administration, she was informed that ‘hii ni case ndogo’ this is a small matter.

Nancy Gachewa the school administrator says no teacher canned the pupil but his fellow pupils.

She was later on arrested and the case is on going as the Gremon has been closed indefinitely.
